The project team comprised of four members, including the Principal of Engage Creative, Director of Media & Design, Senior Graphic Designer, and a Graphic Designer. The team conducted research and client interviews at the start of the project to summarize the research and connect problems with solutions. The team then benchmarked Mobile Care Chicago's current brand image across various touchpoints such as social media, website, print collateral, forms, and slides.
The first task was to concept a design direction by gathering images and finding a suitable style for the organization. Three concepts were developed, including bold typography with geometric shapes, a mascot with a voice bubble on a mountain, and big bright colors with building block shapes and arrows resembling a city. These concepts were combined to create the current branding, which represents the schools, the community, the mobile clinics, and the services offered by Mobile Care Chicago.
The team members presented their design proposals to the client, and the work was critiqued. The unfortunate change in leadership within Mobile Care Chicago prevented the actualization of the project. However, the team valued the experience and the relationships made during the collaboration with Engage Creative.
